Cloning has already been practiced for example in corps for many years. After having cloned the sheep Dolly in 1996, the cloning of animals has increased significantly. Currently there exist for example 65 equine clones.

I don’t really know a whole lot about alternative medicine (neither for humans nor for horses). I only know that I rather treat my colds with tea and a lot of resting and drinking, than taking any kind of medicine. I have done some research on the topic… dig in!

After reading the articles I believe that over breeding is a big problem in the US, especially in regard to the unwanted horse issue. More than ever I believe that over breeding and irresponsible breeding is connected to the increasing problem of unwanted horses in the US.

After some fruitful discussion in class, I once again have to say that I have not really changed my mind on anything yet. I still believe that there is an “unwanted horse” problem (we all agreed upon that) and that measurements need to be taken to help minimize or even solve this problem.
